Sweet croissant breakfast casserole. You won’t believe how easy is it to make this beautiful breakfast casserole. A delicious combo of buttery croissants, vibrant berries and rich cream cheese mixture make this the ultimate treat to start your special mornings.

To take you on an amazing culinary journey, I’m partnering with Everten, an Australian family business selling a huge range of kitchenware and cookware from leading brands across the world. And today, I’m using their Le Creuset Cerise heritage deep covered rectangular dish to create a breakfast casserole guaranteed to make your mornings extra delicious. (Check out the entire range of kitchenware from Everten love to cook here)

This sweet croissant breakfast casserole recipe is ideal for everyone who loves to cook, and the vibrant colors of the dish matches perfectly with the beautifully red shade of the casserole. Although this recipe is great for a special occasion or weekend brunch, it’s also amazing for any other day especially when you’re craving a sweet start to your mornings.

Buttery croissants, berries and sweet cream cheese mixture are baked together to create the ultimate heavenly breakfast for your family.

Let’s start with the buttery croissants. Do you love croissants? Well, you’ll need good quality croissants that are super soft and layered with the deliciousness of butter for this recipe. I used about 8 large croissants. Just cut them into smaller pieces. Yes, you can use whole croissants, but the idea is to create a large surface area to absorb the cream cheese mixture deep into the layers of the croissants.

Once the croissant pieces are arranged in the casserole dish, move on to the cream cheese mixture. A simple combo of cream cheese, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Now, you have the basic mixture, but to create an oomph factor, I also added in a few spices like ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour this mixture over the croissants. Remember the croissants shouldn’t be completely submerged in the liquid, so once baked, you’ll get a beautiful brown crust on top. Again, too much liquid will make this sweet croissant breakfast casserole soggy.

Berries are my ultimate favorite toppings in this casserole recipe. But you can totally customize with seasonal fruits or chocolate chips. Any other ideas?

Once baked, I love to top it with more berries and powdered (icing) sugar. And there you go. The ultimate breakfast to celebrate good food and good company.
