Undoubtedly, the classic mousse is one of the easiest and most delicious dessert that’s popular for its make ahead feature. But, how about making this delicious dessert with just two ingredients?

Introducing two ingredient chocolate mousse. Yes, you only need two ingredients to make this mousse. Chocolate and water. It might sound like a very unusual combination. Trust me, the smooth silky texture and the heavenly taste are to die for.

2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Use good quality chocolate to make this mousse. If you have opted for chocolate block, grate it.

The second ingredient you will need is warm water. The water melts chocolate just like warm cream, and you will get smooth chocolate with pouring consistency.

Now, place this bowl over iced water, and whisk until yet thick, airy mousse. To do this, you can either use an electric handheld mixer or a regular whisk. The former will give you thick mousse in just 3-4 minutes while the latter will require about 10 minutes vigorous whisking. Once you achieve the right consistency, refrigerate for about 2 hours. Finally, garnish.

Ingredients

  • 80 g dark cooking chocolate chopped
  • ¾ cup warm water

Instructions

  • Place chocolate in a bowl. Pour in warm water. Stir to melt chocolate.
  • Place the bowl over a bowl of iced water.
  • Using an electric hand held mixer, whisk for about 2-4 minutes or until the chocolate mixture is smooth and thick. Alternatively, you can use a whisk.
  • Transfer mixture to small serving cups.
  • Refrigerate for about 2 hours. Decorate and serve.
