Come Christmas, cute festive treats start popping up everywhere. If you are a fan of the beautifully white snowflakes, here’s an edible version for you to try these holidays. What’s amazing is that these are surprisingly easy to make and adds the perfect holiday vibes to your party table.
Puff pastry snowflake. Crispy puff pastry and cinnamon sugar are the key elements in this recipe. The pastries are shaped into snowflakes to create a stunning centerpiece for your next gathering. You can also make large or mini versions of these snowflakes.
How To Make Puff Pastry Snowflake
- Spread puff pastry with cinnamon sugar – Even though I have used cinnamon sugar as the flavoring ingredient in this recipe, you can use your favorite like nutella or biscoff spread. The thawed pastry sheet is spread with cinnamon sugar and thentopped with another pastry sheet.
- Make snowflake – Now, turn the pastry sheet into a snowflake masterpiece. To do this, place a bowl in the center of the puff pastry sheet, make long slices and twist to form snowflake pastries. And finally, bake. Before serving, dust generously with powdered (icing) sugar.

Crispy edible snowflake loaded with cinnamon sugar for the prefect holiday treat!
Ingredients
- 2 frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 50g unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
- Powdered (icing) sugar, to dust pastry
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 C / 400 F
- Place one thawed puff pastry sheet on a flat work surface.
- Place a large bowl on the pastry sheet and cut out a large circle. Repeat with the other pastry sheet. Set aside.
- Place one pastry sheet on a flat work surface
- Spread evenly with cinnamon sugar
- Top with another puff pastry sheet
- Place a small bowl in the center of the pastry sheet
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut from the edge of the bowl outward to make 16 wedges around the bowl.
- Remove the bowl
- Twist two of the wedges in toward each other and then pinch them together to seal.
- Repeat the process to make 8 points to the snowflake
- Brush the pastry with melted butter
- Bake until the pastry is golden and puffed, about 20-25 minutes
- Dust with powdered (icing) sugar
Notes
- To make homemade cinnamon sugar, cmbine together 3 tablespoons white sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Other filling ideas: nutella, biscoff spread, spinach feta mixture, pizza sauce, and cream cheese and strawberries
