Sure, a festive meal always need to be a showstopper. And it all starts at the breakfast table. But what about when all you want is spend the morning with your loved ones and not in the kitchen?

Enter this Make Ahead Eggnog French Toast Bake

The recipe starts with choosing the right kind of bread - brioche, croissants or challah bread. I really love croissants in sweet bakes, but the other two varieties also taste amazing. The flaky layers of croissants adds that extra layer of richness to this eggnog bake. Make sure you cut the bread into smaller sizes so it’ll absorb the eggnog mixture to create deliciously baked breakfast.

Now, let’s move on to making that beautifully rich eggnog mixture. A simple combination of eggnog, milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and a small pinch of salt. Once the mixture is ready, pour this into the baking dish with the bread cubes and refrigerate. The best part? You can make this a day ahead and store in the refrigerator. And in the morning, just pop this in the oven and let it turn into the delicious eggnog French toast bake.

As this French toast cooks in the oven, your kitchen is going to be filled with a beautiful aroma that’s guaranteed to make you hungry. Every bite of this breakfast bake is super delicious with the right amount of sweetness.

Eggnog Frosting
