Honey garlic chicken. Say hello to the undeniably delicious combination of honey and garlic. This easy fancy dish made in one pan comes together quickly and makes for a great weeknight meal. Let’s dive deep into the unique flavor sensation of Chinese cuisine. Combining sweet, sour and spicy flavors in one dish is obviously a complicated affair, but that’s what makes Chinese inspired dishes so delicious and alluring. It also demands precise measurements of each flavor to make it extra scrumptious.
Honey garlic chicken. An easy way to make your favorite Chinese takeout at home. The sweet honey sauce with a hint of garlic is the highlight of this popular dish. The extra flavors come from vinegar (sour) and soy sauce (salty). The sticky sauce coats incredibly succulent and crispy chicken taking deliciousness to next level.
How To Make Honey Garlic Chicken
The first step is prepping the chicken. Chicken thighs, breasts or tenders – the choice is yours. Again, you can also dice the chicken into cubes which will actually reduce the cooking time.
Coat chicken with corn flour or cornstarch. Lightly coat the chicken and make sure you shake off excess, so you’ll get a beautiful crisp coating on the outside. Shallow fry the lightly floured chicken thighs in corn flour, for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Now, you will need to add all the ingredients for the sweet honey garlic sauce. First, melt a little butter, and then stir fry garlic. At this stage, you can also add soy sauce, vinegar and honey. Let this sauce simmer for a few minutes until it turns sticky and delicious. Make sure the chicken is cooked through.
And that’s it! Delicious one pan sweet, sticky honey garlic chicken for dinner!
