Enter butter chicken lasagna. So guys, here’s a new way to enjoy your favorite butter chicken. Layer it with lasagna sheets and bechamel sauce to create an amazing new dish for your next dinner.

And I’ve the perfect recipe to whip up the best butter chicken right in your kitchen. Shred chicken before adding it to the sauce, and coat every little piece in the lip-smacking sauce.
The bechamel sauce or white sauce is surprisingly simple. Perfect silky smooth sauce is the secret to the best Italian lasagna. The same authentic ingredients make this butter chicken lasagna super delicious. A basic combo of butter, flour and milk flavored with a touch of nutmeg and bay leaf. Parmesan cheese makes this sauce extra scrumptious and cheesy. Just perfect!
To assemble, start with a layer of bechamel sauce, lasagna sheets and butter chicken. Continue layering and finish off with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella. Finally, bake in a preheated oven until golden perfection.

Butter chicken:

Butter chicken lasagna:
- 180 g instant lasagna sheets
- ½ cup grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Salad or steamed vegetables, to serve
Instructions
Butter chicken:
- Recipe link below this recipe. Shred the chicken into long strands. Set aside.
Bechamel sauce:
- Recipe link below this recipe
Butter chicken lasagna:
- Preheat oven to 180C / 350F.
- Grease a 3L capacity ovenproof baking dish.
- Spoon about ¼th of bechamel sauce over the base of baking dish. Cover with a single layer lasagna sheets, trimming off if necessary. Top with half of butter chicken, then drizzle over ⅓rd of bechamel sauce. Cover with another layer of lasagna sheets and remaining butter chicken mixture. Top with a layer of lasagna sheets and remaining bechamel sauce.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until pasta is tender when tested with a skewer. Remove from oven and set aside for 15 minutes before serving.
- Cut into pieces and serve with salad or steamed veggies.
Notes
- Remove bay leaf from the bechamel sauce before layering the lasagna
- To make this gluten free, use gluten free lasagna sheets, and sub flour in bechamel sauce with gluten-free flour
