How To Make Naan Tacos
The first part is obviously making the fluffy naan. When I have time, I make these naans from scratch, I just really love warm fresh bread. However, you can always go with the store bought ones to prep a quick weeknight meal.
The fillings include tandoori chicken, Indian cucumber salad and mint chutney. You can easily find all the recipes on the blog.
I have used homemade tandoori paste to marinate and cook chicken. Tandoori paste is a combination of few commonly used spices you may already have on hand. Use this tandoori paste to marinate chicken breasts or thighs, bake in the oven and shred.
The veggies used in this naan tacos recipe is the classic kachumber salad or Indian cucumber salad. Cucumbers, tomatoes, green chilies and coriander leaves form the base of this salad. A touch of ground cumin takes it to the next level.
I have also added mint chutney to this delicious dish, it compliments the other elements really well. The refreshing combo of yogurt and mint adds a cool touch to these naan tacos.
Trust me, the combination of flavours in this recipe is out-of-this-world.

- 1 avocado, chopped
- 1 large jalapeno, sliced
- Coriander (cilantro) leaves, to garnish
Instructions
- Make naan according to recipe instructions. Set aside
- Make tandoori chicken according to recipe instructions. Shred. Set aside.
- Make kachumber (cucumber) salad according to recipe instructions. Set aside.
- Make mint chutney according to recipe instructions. Set aside.
- To assemble, top naan with tandoori chicken, cucumber salad, mint chutney, chopped avocados, sliced jalapenos and coriander (cilantro) leaves.
Notes
- To make the vegetarian version of this recipe, substitute chicken with tandoori cauliflower
- If you are short on time, feel free to use store bought naan and tandoori paste in this recipe
- You can customize the chicken recipe with your favorite paste like vindaloo paste or korma paste
