Garlic and turmeric flavored golden rice for your next meal!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (capsicum)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 4 cups cooked rice, long grain or basmati rice
- Juice of 1 small lemon
- Chopped parsley leaves, to garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium high heat.
- Add garlic, onions and bell peppers (capsicum). Sauté, stirring, for about 3-4 minutes or until tender.
- Add ground turmeric and paprika. Sauté, stirring, for a few seconds.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked rice.
- Drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Sauté, stirring, for about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
