Chocolate hearts. Love chocolate? These super cute treats take your favorite chocolate to the next level with a chocolate ganache center covered in decadent milk chocolate. Pure bliss!

I’m obsessed with chocolate. The fact is there is no such thing as too much chocolate. Of course, we all love it!
When I came across the heart mould (used in this recipe to make the hearts) in the darkest corner of the cupboard a few weeks ago, I had to figure out a recipe to make a dessert. Again, it’s been a while since I made a super cute chocolate treat, so these chocolate hearts turned out to be the perfect choice.
This recipe is all about chocolate. The one and only extra ingredient is cream that’s used to make the chocolate ganache in the center of the chocolate hearts.
I’ve used milk chocolate melts to create these cute treats. The basic idea is to choose your favorite chocolate (milk, dark or even white). While dark chocolate is very healthy and good for you, my kids are obsessed with the sweet milk chocolate. So, obviously, the latter option turned out to be my first choice.
Now, to make the outer covering of chocolate hearts, simply melt the chocolate and fill the hearts with melted chocolate. Remove excess chocolate to get a beautiful coating on the heart shapes. Leave this to harden in the refrigerator.
Next up, the filling made with milk chocolate ganache. Pour warm cream into milk chocolate and stir until it melts. Easy peasy ganache is ready. Pour this into the heart moulds making sure to leave a gap for the next layer of melted chocolate.
Once the ganache sets in refrigerator, let’s move on to the final step of these chocolate hearts recipe - adding the final layer of melted chocolate on top of the ganache layer. Now, leave the hearts to set in the refrigerator. When set, they easily pops out of the silicon mould. Before serving, decorate them with a light drizzle of white chocolate, sprinkles or even freeze dried raspberries.
If you love chocolate, these chocolate hearts will surely melt your heart. Share them with your loved ones!
