Can you believe Christmas is just a few days away? And in less than two weeks time, we'll be welcoming in the new year. I'm totally excited.

As I celebrate my birthday so close to Christmas, I'm very used to receiving Christmas themed birthday cards every year. This year was no different. My birthday card was adorned with beautiful Christmas trees in all shades of green, stockings, cute Christmas stickers, and a girl elf (representing me). The whole card was green, and I found a pop-out birthday message at the very corner. Cute! Truth to be told, I literally burst into laughter when I opened my birthday card. Oh, I love my kids.

So, at the moment, I think the Christmas Day is well planned. If you need some recipe inspirations for the big day, don't forget to check out the Christmas menu. Now all that I need to do is cookie baking ( for Santa obviously) and last minute Christmas shopping. Well, that pretty much sums up my plans for this weekend.

Alright, let's hop on to this decadent Brazilian chocolate truffles recipe also known as brigadeiros. You know, truffles are synonymous with Christmas. And who doesn't love chocolates? For me, chocolates are a must addition to sweeten any special occasion.

I truly love these Brazilian chocolate truffles. Just because they are so easy to make. Even the kids can join in. Such a fun idea to celebrate this holiday season.

You just need three ingredients to make these truffles. Butter + condensed milk + cocoa powder. Bring them together in a saucepan. Let the mixture thicken and come off the sides. Leave it to cool in the refrigerator until it becomes firm enough to roll into balls.

The rolling part is pure fun. I also got my little elves helping me in the rolling process. So, I ended up with Brazilian chocolate truffles 4 ways - coconut, chocolate strands, rainbow strands, and crushed peppermint or candy canes. Chopped nuts, cocoa powder or any edible decorations will be perfect for these truffles.
