To make garlic butter, combine together butter, garlic and parsley in a small bowl. Season with salt. Set aside.
Place flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl. Whisk to combine.
Add melted butter and water. Knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 and ½ to 2 hours or until doubled.
Punch dough down.
Turn onto a floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Roll out dough into a large rectangle.
Spread with garlic butter all the way to the edges.
Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut into even rectangles.
Stack the rectangles on top of each other.
Place them in a greased loaf pan.
Cover and let rise for another 45 minutes.
Meanwhile preheat oven to 200 C / 400 F. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover with aluminum foil and bake.
Serve warm.
