Christmas trees:

  • 6 puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 4 tablespoons biscoff spread or nutella
  • 8 cheese triangles
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg lightly whisked

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200 C or 400 F. Line two large baking trays with baking paper. Set aside.

Sweet trees:

  • Place one puff pastry sheet on a flat work surface.
  • Spread with biscoff or nutella.
  • Top with another puff pastry sheet.
  • Divide the sheets into 1-inch thick strips and shape into christmas trees. Thread on to skewers.

  • Arrange them on the baking sheet in a single layer. Brush with egg.

Bake trees:

  • Transfer the baking sheets to oven.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until pastries are puffed up and golden.
  • Top the baked savory trees with cheese triangles.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

    1. You can use your favorite sweet spread to make the sweet trees
    2. To make small trees, cut the pastry sheets into halves
    3. Use gluten free puff pastry sheets to make gluten free trees
