Masala Chaas | Indian Spiced Buttermilk

Ingredients

  • cup yogurt
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cm ginger grated
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint leaves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • Salt, black or regular, to taste

Instructions

  • Place yogurt in a bowl. Whisk to break up the lumps.
  • Add water, ginger, green chili, coriander (cilantro) leaves, mint leaves, cumin and chaat masala.
  • Season with salt.
  • Whisk to combine.
  • Alternatively, you can blend all the ingredients in a blender.
