Ingredients

  • 2 cups green beans trimmed and julienned
  • 1 shallot sliced
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 large green chilly julienned (optional)
  • 2 garlic cloves julienned
  • 1 sprig of curry leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Splutter mustard seeds, and throw in shallots, garlic, and green chilly. Fry until the shallots turn brown. Add in ground turmeric and green beans. Also add enough salt. Mix well. Now cover the pan with a lid, and cook the beans, stirring occasionally. Serve with plain rice.
