Marinate prawns (shrimp) with paprika and cajun seasoning (if using). Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes if time permis.
Heat oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
When butter starts to sizzle, add prawns (shrimp) in a single layer.
Cook one side for about 3-4 minutes and then flip and cook for another 3 minutes or until the prawns have lost their translucency and turned pink.
Remove from pan.
To make the butter sauce, heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan.
Add garlic and sauté, stirring, for one minute or until fragrant.
Add red pepper flakes (red chili flakes), chopped parsley and fresh lemon juice.
Bring to a boil. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
Add shrimp.
Toss in butter sauce.
Garnish with more chopped parsley.
Serve it as an appetizer, or with garlic bread / rice / noodles / pasta and even salads.
