Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Melt butter in a frying pan. Add bread slices in batches. Toast both sides. Remove from pan. Set aside.
Spread mayonnaise on one side of 4 bread slices.
Top with tomato slices (4 on each bread slice). Season with salt and pepper.
Top with the remaining bread slices.
Serve immediately.
