large red onions
thinly sliced

white vinegar

large green chili

water
Instructions
Place the sliced onions in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with salt. Add water. Using your finger tips, rub the onions really well in the salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Drain the water from onions, and rinse well under cold running water.
Add green chili and white vinegar to the salad.
Serve as a side dish for Indian meal.
