Ingredients

  • 2 large red onions thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 large green chili sliced
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  • Place the sliced onions in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with salt. Add water. Using your finger tips, rub the onions really well in the salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Drain the water from onions, and rinse well under cold running water.
  • Add green chili and white vinegar to the salad.
  • Serve as a side dish for Indian meal.
