I love smoked salmon. It’s the kind of ingredient that can level up a dish instantly. Along with capers and lemon, it adds that incredible flavor to your weeknight dish. To be honest, this salmon pasta is one of the easiest and simplest dishes you can make.
How to make smoked salmon pasta
In this recipe, I’m using Gluten Free Vegetable Rice Pasta Spirals from Orgran. Just follow the package instructions to cook the pasta.
While the pasta is cooking, start with the creamy dreamy sauce. Cook onions in a little oil followed by garlic. Now you can add in Italian seasoning and cream. Give it a quick stir and simmer for about 2 minutes. You can pour in a little reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
At this stage, add in lemon juice, lemon zest and parmesan. The cheesy Parmesan will thicken the sauce, so feel free to pour in a little pasta water if needed. Next up, the hero ingredients of this smoked salmon pasta - smoked salmon and capers. A quick stir to combine everything together and then you can stir in the parsley.
Top with plenty of parmesan and parsley. Delicious pasta for your next weeknight dinner!
