This impressively easy to make ladoo is inspired from the classic Indian coconut ladoos, the popular sphere shaped sweets. Traditionally, coconut ladoos are made with lightly toasted coconut and condensed milk. However, in this recipe, we are going to replace condensed milk with caramel sauce. Salted caramel sauce, to be exact.
Desiccated coconut is lightly toasted before adding in the caramel sauce to accentuate the coconut flavor. Again, homemade sauce is simple to make, and features a divine combination of caramelized sugar, cream, and a pinch of salt.

How To Make Salted Caramel Coconut Ladoo
Salted caramel sauce – Homemade or store bought. You can turn a can of caramel sauce into “salted” with a small pinch of sea salt. However, homemade sauce is easy to make, it’s just a simple combination of caramelized sugar, cream and sea salt. You can store this in the refrigerator for at least a week.
Ladoo – In this recipe, we are going to combine two ingredients, coconut and caramel sauce. The basic recipe is very similar to classic ladoo, but the key ingredient that’s going to bind the coconut crumbs together is salted caramel sauce. I also like to lightly toast the coconut before adding caramel sauce. Caramel sauce thickens as it cools down to room temperature creating the perfect texture to roll out delicious ladoos. Make a simple mixture using coconut and salted caramel sauce, and then roll out small sweet balls. Roll these ladoos in more coconut, and you’re done!
