Appetizers, the key elements of summer entertaining, have to be big on flavours and deliciousness. Food that can be prepped easily without compromising on taste is so important. And well, here’s one of my favorite ways to create the best appetizer easily and quickly.
Nacho fries – all about Mexican spiced fries loaded with spiced minced beef, jalapeños, and all your favorite Mexican toppings. Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings- just like you build your favorite tacos.
How To Make Nacho Fries
Start with the fries. You can either make homemade fries (recipe here) or go with the store bought frozen fries. The latter option is the best when it comes to entertaining purposes.
Next up, line a baking sheet with baking paper and arrange the fries in a single layer. I also like to toss them in a little taco seasoning for the ultra flavorful touch.
While the fries are in the oven, make the minced meat topping. I have opted for beef mince in this recipe, but replace it with chicken if you like. Now, the meat is cooked alongside onions and bell peppers. Add a sprinkle of taco seasoning to add that Mexican touch.
When fries come out of the oven, top with meat mixture and cheese. This goes back into the oven and bake again until cheese is melted. Now, it’s time to garnish this nacho fries with all your favorite Mexican toppings. And this includes jalapeños, avocados and sour cream.
And finally, dig in! Party fries for your next gathering!
