All you need to do is combine the shredded turkey with a luscious and rich sauce. Honestly, it’s totally addicting. So easy to make and utterly delicious!
Start with making the sauce. Sauté some onions until they are lightly browned followed by frying minced ginger and garlic. Fry all the spices including ground turmeric, ground coriander, paprika and red chili powder.
Next up, add the tomatoes and fry until they are soft and mushy. Bring this to a boil. Now, reduce heat and simmer for about 2-3 minutes. At this stage, you can add in cream that make the sauce rich and luscious. Season with just the right amount of salt. Pour in water to make thick sauce.
You’ll need to simmer the sauce for about 3-4 minutes. Make sure you stir it occasionally. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add some water to achieve the right consistency. A light sprinkle of garam masala and coriander (cilantro) leaves add the final touch to this leftover turkey curry. When the sauce is ready, stir in the shredded turkey. And you’re done!

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger (ginger paste)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (garlic paste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (turmeric powder)
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander (coriander powder)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 cup canned tomatoes or 1 large tomato chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons coriander (cilantro) leaves
- 2 cups shredded roast turkey
- Water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add onions. Sauté, stirring occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Add ginger and garlic. Sauté, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add ground turmeric, ground coriander, paprika and red chili powder. Sauté, stirring, for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add cream and enough water to make a thick sauce. Stir to combine. Season with salt.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes. Add more water if needed.
- Add garam masala and coriander (cilantro) leaves. Stir to combine. Simmer for about 1 minute.
- Stir in shredded turkey. Garnish with more coriander (cilantro) leaves if you like.
