Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ cup canned tomatoes or 1 large tomato chopped
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons coriander cilantro leaves
  • 2 cups shredded roast turkey
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add onions. Sauté, stirring occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Add ginger and garlic. Sauté, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add ground turmeric, ground coriander, paprika and red chili powder. Sauté, stirring, for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • Add cream and enough water to make a thick sauce. Stir to combine. Season with salt.
  • Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes. Add more water if needed.
  • Add garam masala and coriander (cilantro) leaves. Stir to combine. Simmer for about 1 minute.
  • Stir in shredded turkey. Garnish with more coriander (cilantro) leaves if you like.
