Lassi – a drink made of fruits, yogurt and milk – is the Indian version of smoothies. When it comes to the choice of fruits, the possibilities are endless. Imagine your favorite fruit blended with milk and yogurt. You’ll end up with a killer lassi.
Traditionally, the common fruit used in lassi is ripe mango. But today, I’m going to tell you about a different version of this delicious drink with grape base. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant about using grapes in a lassi. But I really wanted to give it a go. And believe me, I was absolutely gobsmacked.
For the smoothie, I used seedless black grapes (Grapes used in the step by step pictures below is the red variety). I’ve also added extra sugar to the recipe to make it sweeter. You could choose not to add any sweetener at all in your lassi. Making this cool, refreshing drink at home takes only a few minutes, and seriously, it tastes so good!
Refreshing drinks made with grapes and yogurt. To make this lassi healthier, you can omit sugar. You can also use low fat yogurt and skim milk.Grape Lassi | Indian Grape Smoothie
