Baked Oats Recipe
Rolled or traditional oats is the key ingredient in this recipe. And quick oats are a strict no-no as it won’t give you the right texture. As you can see from the recipe, rolled oats are grind into a fine powder to make oat flour which makes the base of this baked oats. Oat flour is just plain ground oats – you don’t need to add any other ingredients to it.
Along with oat flour, you will also need to add banana, baking powder, egg, cinnamon, milk and maple syrup. However, you can customize these ingredients to create your perfect flavor. Plus, this recipe can be tweaked to make vegan baked oats. Again, all the ingredients used in this recipe are 100% natural. While banana and maple syrup sweeten it, the choice of diary can be adapted to your dietary needs. For instance, any milk including almond milk or soy milk is perfect in this recipe.
When baked, the mixture will rise slightly just like your regular cake. And finally, dig in!
