Avocado aioli. Meet the healthy version of aioli made with delicious avocados. Say goodbye to creamy aioli and add this nutritious twist for a healthy meal idea. Plus, it’s equally delicious with your breakfast toast, or as salad dressing and dip.
Avocados, which have long been popular as a breakfast staple, is undoubtedly one of the most nutritious fruits. I personally love them as a delicious dip, or as a healthy topping for easy morning toasts. With the right recipe, this plant based ingredient can take the centerstage of your meal.
What is avocado aioli? A traditional aioli is a simple olive oil based condiment emulsified with fresh garlic. In this healthier version, we are going to make aioli with avocado.
Make The Perfect Avocado Aioli
Whipping up healthy aioli is a pretty straightforward process. Use firm ripe avocados in this recipe. Unripe avocado will not deliver that beautifully creamy and delicious texture and taste.
I like to add a herby touch to this aioli. A few leaves of basil or parsley is guaranteed to taste amazing with avocados. The green herbs also make this totally vibrant.
Make sure you use fresh garlic to add that authentic garlicky flavor. Absolutely perfect! Don’t forget a light splash of lemon juice too. Jalapeños are just optional and they also add a touch of heat to this dish.
Purée all the ingredients with the right amount of seasoning with salt and pepper.
The one ingredient you can add to this avocado aioli to make it super creamy is Greek yogurt. However, if you want to keep this vegan, omit yogurt.
