Green Beans Mezhukkupuratti/ Stir Fry
Green beans stir fried with turmeric and green chilies.
Ingredients
- • 2 cups green beans, trimmed and julienned
- • 1 shallot, sliced
- • ½ tsp ground turmeric
- • 1 large green chilly, julienned (optional)
- • 2 garlic cloves, julienned
- • 1 sprig of curry leaves
- • ¼ tsp mustard seeds
- • Salt to taste
- • 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Splutter mustard seeds, and throw in shallots, garlic, and green chilly. Fry until the shallots turn brown. Add in ground turmeric and green beans. Also add enough salt. Mix well. Now cover the pan with a lid, and cook the beans, stirring occasionally. Serve with plain rice.
