Creamy Bacon and Leek Pasta Recipe
Prep the ingredients – First, cook pasta. Just follow the instructions on the package to make al dente pasta. Don’t forget to reserve a little pasta water to add to the creamy sauce later in the cooking process. You’ll also need to slice the leek into thin circles and broccoli into small florets. With bacon, chopped version is the best option in this recipe.
Make creamy pasta – Start with frying the bacon pieces in a little oil. When it gets a beautiful brown shade, transfer to a paper towel. At this stage, you will need to reserve a little bacon fat to sauté leeks, broccoli and garlic. That way, the veggies will get that beautiful bacon flavor and you don’t have to increase the calories with extra butter.
Continue cooking until the leeks are tender. To this, add pasta water and cream. Also, season the sauce. Let this simmer for few minutes. When the sauce starts to thicken, toss in pasta and bacon. I also like to add a generous amount of grated parmesan and chopped parsley. So quick, so easy, dinner in minutes!
