How to Peel an Avocado – Avocado was an alien fruit to me until a few years ago. I didn’t even know how to peel or use it in a dish. But once I learned the technique which is quite easy and simple, I started using this fruit in cooking as often as I can especially when they are in season.
Step by Step Instructions to Cut and Peel an Avocado
1. Make a slit around the avocado pit
2. Use your hands to separate it into two halves by twisting it to both sides
3. Press a knife into the avocado pit and carefully twist again to remove it.
4. Now use a spoon to gently scoop out the flesh of avocado from its outer layer. Done!!
Discard the pit and the outer layers. Chop, slice, or mash the avocado as you wish.
