Ingredients

  • 2 cups full fat or whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of ground black pepper black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Ground cinnamon to decorate (optional)

Instructions

  • Place milk in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground turmeric, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and ground black pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in honey.
  • Divide the latte among two cups. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if you like.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Substitute milk with coconut or almond milk for vegan version
  2. You can use honey or maple syrup as a sweetener in this recipe
  3. A pinch of nutmeg elevates the flavor, however, it’s totally optional
  4. Black pepper is a ‘must’ as it activates turmeric
