large sourdough bread
or your favorite bread, cut in halves

tablespoons
mayonnaise
▢

teaspoons
dijon mustard
▢

Swiss cheese slices

ham slices
▢
2
dill pickles
thinly sliced (optional)

tablespoons
butter
to grill
Instructions
Spread one side of each slice of bread with mayonnaise.
Spread one side of 2 of the 4 slices with dijon mustard.
Top the mayonnaise bread with cheese, ham, and pickles (if using).
Top with the remaining slices of bread.
Heat a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add butter.
When melted, add sandwiches and cook until bread is golden and cheese is melted, for about 3 minutes per side.

- Use your favorite.

- Swiss, gruyere or cheddar.

- I used leftover roast ham, but good quality deli style ham is also a perfect addition.
