Ingredients

Chana masala / Chickpea masala:

Other ingredients:

  • ½ cup chopped red onions
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 green chilies chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped coriander cilantro leaves
  • ½ cup sev fried chickpea flour noodles ( I used store bought sev)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • ¼ cup thick yogurt
  • ½ cup pomegranate arils optional

Instructions

Chana masala / Chickpea masala:

  • Prepare chana masala according to recipe instructions. Recipe link in just below this recipe.

Samosa:

  • Prepare samosa according to recipe instructions. You can either deep fry or bake the samosas. Recipe link just below this recipe

Chutneys:

  • Prepare all chutneys according to recipe instructions. You can store them in the refrigerator for at least one week. Recipe link just below this recipe.

Assemble samosa chaat:

  • Arrange ¼ cup chickpea masala on a plate in a single layer. Top with 2 crushed samosas. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon green chutney, 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney and 1 teaspoon red chili chutney (optional). Top with 2 tablespoon chopped onions, 2 tablespoon chopped tomatoes, ½ teaspoon chopped green chilies (if using), 2 tablespoon chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves, 2 tablespoon sev, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon chaat masala and 1 tablespoon thick yogurt. Sprinkle with pomegranate arils. Feel free to add more or less of the above ingredients depending on your taste preferences.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
