Instructions
Pizza sauce:
Use store bought or homemade pizza sauce.
To make homemade pizza sauce, combine together tomato passata, minced garlic and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Set aside.
Christmas tree pizza:
Preheat oven to 180C or 350 F. Line two baking trays with parchment (baking) paper.
Place one puff pastry on the baking sheet.
Spread with 4 tablespoons pizza sauce. Top with 2 tablespoons bell peppers (capsicum) and 2 tablespoons mozzarella.
Top with another puff pastry sheet.
Cut into the shape of a Christmas tree. Make horizontal tree branch slices. Twist the tree branches.
Using star-shaped cookie cutter, make a star from the leftover pastry and set on top of the tree.
Brush whisked egg along the tree trunk, base and branches.
Repeat with the remaining two puff pastry sheets.
Transfer the trees to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden.
