2tablespoonpizza saucestore bought or homemade (see notes)
1medium onionsliced
¼cupchopped bell pepper or capsicumred, yellow or green (I used red)
16pepperoni slices
1cupmozzarella

Instructions
Spread one side of 4 wholemeal slices with pizza sauce. Top with onions, bell peppers, pepperoni and mozzarella. Top with the remaining 4 bread slices.
To grill the sandwich, melt butter in a frying pan over medium flame. Place the prepared sandwiches in the pan one at a time. When one side turns golden, add more butter to the pan, and flip over the sandwich to toast the other side. Enjoy!
Alternatively, you can grill sandwiches in a sandwich maker.

- You can use tomato sauce or ketchup mixed with oregano or Italian seasoning instead of store bought pizza sauce if you like
