Ingredients

Patties (choose one):

Lachha pyaz (spiced onions):

Garlic butter:

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter softened
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Burger:

  • 4 burger buns
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise spicy or regular
  • 4 romaine or cos lettuce leaves
  • A few coriander leaves optional

To serve:

Instructions

Make patties:

  • Follow the recipe instructions to make the patties.

Lachha pyaz:

  • Follow recipe instructions to make spiced onions.

Garlic butter:

  • Combine together butter, garlic and dried oregano.

Toast burger buns:

  • Spread garlic butter on the cut side of the buns.
  • Place buns in a frying pan over stovetop.
  • Toast until crisp and golden.

Assemble burger:

  • Spread the toasted buns with spicy mayonnaise.
  • Top with bottom buns with lettuce, patties and spiced onions. Add coriander leaves if using.
  • Finish with the top burger bun.
  • Serve with French fries.

Notes

  • Burger buns - I used brioche buns, but you can opt for your favorite.
  • Spicy mayonnaise - If not easily available, just combine together mayonnaise and sriracha.
