Servings 1 cup melted jaggery

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated jaggery
  • ¾ cup water

Instructions

  • Place jaggery and water in a medium-sized pan.
  • Place the pan over low heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until melted. Leave the mixture to cool. While cooling, the impurities will settle down to the bottom of the pan. You can also pass it through a sieve to remove the impurities.

Notes

The jaggery I get here usually do not contain any impurities, so I don’t strain it.
