softened

light brown sugar

honey

Chopped peanuts
to decorate (optional)

to decorate (optional)
Instructions
Combine together butter, brown sugar and honey in a bowl. Set aside.
Heat a frying pan or skillet over low heat.
Spread honey butter on one side of the bread slices.
Place the bread in the pan, buttered side down.
Spread the topside with 1 tablespoon honey butter.
When one side caramelizes and turns brown, flip over and toast the other side.
Repeat with the remaining slices.
Serve with chopped roasted peanuts and ice cream if you like

Notes
Honey butter toast is usually made with shokupan or Japanese milk bread. And brioche bread is the best alternative.
For the gluten free version, use gluten free white bread
