Homemade Croutons

The very basic method to make croutons at home. Customize with your favorite seasonings.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 loaf of bread cut into ¾-inch cubes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200 C or 400 F.
  • Combine together olive oil, oregano and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  • Place bread cubes on a baking sheet.
  • Toss with oil-garlic mixture.
  • Spread in a single layer.
  • Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until crisp and golden.
