Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe banana frozen (see notes)
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoon pure maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend. Garnish with chopped almonds if you like. Serve immediately.

Notes

- To freeze banana, chop it into big pieces, place in a ziplock bag, and store in the freezer until ready to use
- You can also add more chopped almonds to the blender.
- If almond milk is not easily available, add any milk of your choice plus ¼ cup chopped almonds
