Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry cumin seeds. Add garlic, and cook, stirring, for 1 minute, or until lightly browned. Add ground turmeric and sauté until aromatic. Stir in kale and enough salt. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes, or until the leaves are wilted. Add cooked rice. Cook, stirring, for another 2 minutes.

You can add chili powder or finely chopped green chilies to the rice if you like Kale can be substituted with spinach
