Cheese Christmas Tree

Ingredients

  • 16 cheese wedges I used Laughing Cow
  • 3 tablespoons chopped roasted almonds or your favorite nuts
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate arils
  • 4-5 pretzel sticks cut into 4 cm sticks

Instructions

  • Unwrap the Laughing Cow cheese wedges or slice your favorite cheese into wedges or triangles. Set aside.
  • Combine together almonds, rosemary and thyme in a shallow bowl. Set aside.
  • Press a cheese triangle down into almond-herb mixture to coat one side.
  • Flip over and decorate with pomegranate arils to resemble Christmas lights.
  • Insert one pretzel stick into one side of the wedges.
  • Repeat with the remaining cheese wedges, almond mixture, pomegranate arils, and pretzel sticks.
  • Serve immediately.

  • Cheese - You can use your favorite cheese like brie cut into wedges or small triangles.
  • Pomegranate - Pomegranate arils can be substituted with dried cranberries if you like.
  • Herbs - You can use dried or fresh herbs like dill, thyme or parsley.
