Banana Roti | Thai Banana Pancake

Easy recipe to recreate the very popular Thai street food at home with store bought frozen rotis!

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen rotis partially thawed
  • 3 large bananas sliced
  • 50 g butter to cook rotis
  • Condensed milk for topping
  • Sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Heat a flat pan or skillet over medium heat.
  • When hot, place one roti in the pan.
  • Top roti with ⅓rd of the banana slices, leaving 1-inch around the edges.
  • Top with another roti.
  • Quickly press down the edges to seal.
  • Add butter beside the roti.
  • Once the bottom side has browned, carefully flip and brown the other side.
  • This will take about 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer roti to a flat work surface or serving plate, and cut into 10-12 small squares.
  • Drizzle with condensed milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Repeat with remaining roti and banana slices.
  • Serve hot.
