evaporated milk

grated cheddar

Salt to taste
Instructions
Place 3 cups water in a large saucepan. Season with salt.
Bring to a boil.
Add macaroni. Stir and cook for about 6 minutes or 1 to 2 minutes shy of al dente.
Reserve 3 tablespoons pasta water. Drain.
Add reserved pasta water back to the saucepan.
Add evaporated milk. Stir to combine.
Simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in cheese.
Cook, stirring, for about 2 minutes or until the cheese melts and sauce thickens.

Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 days. To reheat, add a little evaporated milk and heat through.
