Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups water to sock oats
  • ½ cup water to grind oats
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Soak oats in 2 cups water for 2 hours.
  • Transfer oats with water to a food processor. Add ½
    cup water. Grind to a smooth batter.
  • Meanwhile, heat a small pan over medium-low heat.
  • Brush with a little oil.
  • When the pan is hot, add ¼ cup batter to the pan.
  • Using the back of a spoon or ladle, spread the batter into a thin circle.
  • Drizzle a little oil on top. When one side is cooked, flip over to cook the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Fill the wraps with your favorite savory or sweet filling. Serve warm.

Notes

  1. You can use this wrap as a substitute for all flatbreads, flour tortillas and pita
  2. Batter may thicken as it sets, add more water to get the right consistency
  3. Ideally, the consistency of batter should be similar to pancake batter
  4. You can add spices like ground cumin, ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper to the batter to make these wraps more delicious
  5. Make it sweet with nutella or your favorite chocolate spread.
  6. The preparation time does not include the soaking time
