How To Make Homemade Apple Fritters
This is my go-to recipe for delicious apple fritters. The first step is to peel the apples and chop them into small pieces. For sweet fritters, I highly recommend using your favorite sweet apples in this recipe, tart green apples may not give the right amount of sweetness. Having said that, you can use cooked green apples in your recipe if you like.
Start with combining all the dry ingredients in a bowl including flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, mix milk and egg. Pour this into the dry mixture and whisk to combine. You can also add melted and cooled butter, and lemon juice. Mix to create a smooth, lump-free batter. Set this aside for about 10 minutes.
Now it’s time to deep fry these fritters. Drop fritters in oil, and deep fry until golden and cooked through.
Finally, you can toss these homemade apple fritters in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar. Or you can also dip them in glaze.
Crispy and sweet apple fritters to make your day extra delicious.
