And that means, no kneading, and no rolling, to create beautiful flaky rotis filled with sweet bananas. Well, why wouldn’t you love it? Trust me, this hack exceeded my expectations, and the rotis turned out to be so flaky and so sweet filled with delicious bananas.
All you need is partially thawed frozen rotis, bananas and condensed milk. The rotis are layered with sliced bananas and cooked in a skillet until flaky and brown. The flaky texture of the rotis contrasting the soft bananas is clearly an addicting combo. Not to mention the extra sweet drizzle adding to the sweetness of the rotis.

- Frozen roti – These are easily available from the freezer section of your local grocery store.

How To Make Banana Roti
Cook roti – Before cooking, thaw the frozen rotis partially so they are pliable. Top one roti with sliced bananas, and then place another roti on top. You can also add a little butter to make it crisp and brown.
Add toppings – A light drizzle of condensed milk is the classic way to go, however, feel free to experiment with other toppings like caramel, chocolate or nutella.

Ingredients
- 6 frozen rotis, partially thawed
- 3 large bananas, sliced
- 50 g butter, to cook rotis
- Condensed milk, for topping
- Sugar, for topping
Instructions
- Heat a flat pan or skillet over medium heat.
- When hot, place one roti in the pan.
- Top roti with 1/3rd of the banana slices, leaving 1-inch around the edges.
- Top with another roti.
- Quickly press down the edges to seal.
- Add butter beside the roti.
- Once the bottom side has browned, carefully flip and brown the other side.
- This will take about 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer roti to a flat work surface or serving plate, and cut into 10-12 small squares.
- Drizzle with condensed milk and sprinkle with sugar.
- Repeat with remaining roti and banana slices.
- Serve hot.
