This coriander mint chutney has been in my dreams for a while now. One of the best things with this chutney is its incredible flavor – obviously, the flavor of mint and coriander. And that’s what makes it a fabulous dip for any Indian appetizer. So, next time, when you decide to make an Indian meal, don’t forget to grind some coriander and mint leaves as well to make this beautiful chutney.
It is also delicious as sandwich spread and even as salad dressing. Who knows. This mint chutney is simply the best.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mint leaves
- 1 cup coriander cilantro leaves
- 2 green chilies optional
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ - 1 cup yogurt
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- Water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place mint leaves, coriander leaves, and green chilies (if using) in a blender. Grind to a very smooth paste. Add a little water if needed.
- Transfer the paste to a deep bowl. Mix in lemon juice, ground cumin, sugar, and enough salt.
- Now you can add in the yogurt. Start with ¼ cup of yogurt, and mix well. If you like the strong flavor of mint, use less yogurt. On the other hand, add more yogurt for a light flavor. (I added around 1 cup of yogurt as I prefer a very light flavor).
